Dear Families,

Welcome to our website and our great school!  It is our pleasure to introduce you to our very special school experience!  You will find that our school is very unique.  We are one of the longest serving preschools and private Kindergarten programs available in the Las Vegas Area and the only Episcopal school in Nevada.  We provide one of the most innovative 2-6 programs in the greater Las Vegas Area.  In addition to our new full day Kindergarten and Toddler programs, we also provide on site special classes in Dance (Lisa Peck), Spanish (All Saints'), Piano (NV School of the Arts), and Computers (Cranium Kids).  All of which provide enrichment in areas that research has proven to help the child succeed in later years.  Our staff is experienced, enthusiastic, and very caring.  We keep our class sizes low intentionally to better personalize instruction, attend to safety, and care for the well-being of the child.

The mortgage crisis of this past fall put our school at risk of closure because so many of our families faced financial difficulties, but the staff and parents came through in an emergency and raised thousands of dollars to keep the school going.  Now, we are stronger, have saved money to put aside in case of emergency, instituted new policies to keep our school strong, and aggressively and creatively put our school forward to generate greater awareness of our wonderful programs.  You will find many All Saints' families in Las Vegas that will attest to the school's special magic.  Thanks go to so many parents, staff, church members, and community helpers that made this all possible!  We are committed to keeping the school strong and serving the greater Las Vegas area as a community treasure.  That means not sacrificing our affordable rates, high quality programs and small class sizes!

You will notice that we are currently looking for a new director and a preschool teacher.  I can honestly say that these staff changes would have occurred despite this year's challenges and do not reflect anything but time passing.  (The teachers had told me when I first started that they would give me one or two more years.)  While staff turn over is usually very low at our school from year to year, it happens to be the case that this school year we had a few retirements and a director change at the same time.  I assure you that it is our goal to make this transition as smooth as possible for all concerned.  I strongly believe that our staff is very motivated and of the highest quality.  I know that I have taken great care in selecting replacements for retiring staff members, and I am confident that Father Ed (Rev. Eldwin Lovelady) and the Day School Board will do the same when it comes to choosing a new director.  In the meantime, we have a great Summer Camp and coming school year planned.

Please know that our four long serving staff members will be missed.  We wish them very well in the future and thank them for their dedication and caring service.

Donna Dahlberg - since 1984

Linda McCormick - since 1985

Susan Schreiner - since 1987

Barbara Suntken - since 1990

Thank you for your interest and time today.  We look forward to serving you.  Please do not hesitate to call the Day School office at 878-1205 or Fr Ed at 878-2373 if you have any questions.

Most sincerely,

Dyan McCarthy, Director
